John Ourth Award Winners
Congratulations to Blake Miller and Smith Carruthers! Blake and Smith are the recipients of this year's IPA John Ourth Award. The John Ourth Award is given to two students in the exiting class for their ability to uphold high standards of character and academics. We are very proud to present Blake and Smith as this year's award winners! Blake and Smith were honored with their parents at a breakfast banquet at Streator High School with Mrs. Jasiek on Thursday.
Congratulations, Ladd-Dalzell Girls' Basketball
Our Ladd-Dalzell Girls' Basketball team finished up their season with a nail-biter last night in the BVEC Tournament in LaMoille. Our girls took 2nd place in the BVEC Conference in a two-point loss to PCA. Congratulations to Coach Dempsey, Coach Bickett, Coach Harmon, and all our athletes on their hard work and successful season!
7th Grade Science Fair
Today was our open house and judging for the Ladd Science Fair. We had so many wonderful projects and are proud of all the hard work from this class. We want to congratulate the first place winners, Jack Dempsey and Jonathan Luaisa, Kaiden Lapp, and Gia Smith! Well done! Thank you to Mrs. Flanagan for all her work and guidance with these students and their projects.
Family Reading Night
Thank you to the PTO for all their hard work putting together our mystery filled evening this week. Wednesday night was the annual PTO Family Reading Night and it was a huge success! Thank you to all who joined us!
Report Cards
Report cards for the second trimester will be sent home Wednesday, February 26. Middle School students' grades will be accessible through TeacherEase.
Scholastic Bowl Season Begins
The Ladd-Dalzell Scholastic Bowl team will have their first meet on February 24th in the John Piccatto Library at Ladd School. Good luck to Scholastic Bowl!
School Improvement Day
Next week, we will have an 11:20 dismissal on Friday, February 28th for School Improvement. There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, March 3rd for Casimir Pulaski Day.
District Calendar Updated
The district calendar has been updated to reflect the two emergency weather days. The last day of school will now be May 28th and graduation will be held on May 23rd at 6:00 pm. You can find the updated district calendar on the home page of our website.
