Qualify for the Olympics Day
Today was the end of our year-long Olympic celebration, and what better way to celebrate than an Olympic Competition? Thank you to Mrs. Jasiek and her committee for organizing this fun event! A big thank you to Hall High School for letting us use their track facilities. Our students had a blast! The results are not yet in, so stay tuned for our gold, silver, and bronze medal winners!!
Graduation
Graduation is this Wednesday! The graduation ceremony will begin in the Charles A. Fiocchi Gymnasium at 6:00. Graduates need to arrive at 5:00 and the doors will open to the public at 5:30.
Athletic Recognition Night
Ladd is starting a new tradition to celebrate our athletic programs. We will be hosting our Ladd-Dalzell Annual Athletic Recognition Night on Monday, May 20th at 6:00 pm in the Charles A. Fiocchi Gymnasium. All students who participated in athletics this year and their parents are invited to come celebrate their 2023-2024 seasons. We look forward to honoring you in this new way!
Honors Day
All other Ladd School awards, and our Kindergarten Graduation, will be handed out at our traditional Awards Day ceremony on Thursday, May 30th starting with K-4 awards at 9:00, Kindergarten Graduation at 9:45, and 5-7 awards starting at 10:00. Parents and family members are encouraged to join us!
Donuts with Grown-ups
A great big thank you to our PTO for organizing the Donuts with Grown-ups event this past week, and to all our family and community members who came to join us! We love any chance to have our parents, grandparents, and community here with us!
5th Grade Wax Museum
Our 5th grade is hosting a Live Wax Museum to showcase their biography projects on Tuesday, May 21, from 12:30-2:30 in the John T. Piccatto Library. They researched, read a biography, wrote an essay, wrote & memorized a speech, drew a backdrop, and planned an outfit. Students and families are welcome to attend and celebrate all the hard work our students put into this incredible project. Thank you, Mrs. Dempsey!
Last Day of Preschool
This Thursday, May 23rd is our last day of Preschool! The year is wrapping up so quickly! We are excited about all our 5-year-olds who will be heading to kindergarten next year! If your child will be returning to preschool next year, please watch for more information regarding next year's programming. We have one more preschool screening on May 28th before enrollment can be finalized. If you or someone you know needs to send their child for a preschool screening, please contact the office at 815-894-2363.
